Outlander Adventure Tour

I

I’m a huge Outlander fan. It started when a friend gave me the book by Diana Gabaldon, what seems like a lifetime ago. The show wasn’t even a twinkle in the producer’s eye LOL. When I arrived in Scotland, back in December this was a must-do for me. Especially because I started off in Edinburgh and that was one of the easiest places to get the tour. Well December in Scotland is freezing and some of the attractions on the tour were not open to visitors. I put it off figuring I’d have to do it on another trip, BUT it turned out I squeezed it in.

I’d been in the UK for close to 6 months and it was approaching my time to leave. My next destination chosen…hello Montenegro, however flights from Inverness to Montenegro are far and few between, involve muliple stopovers and take over 20 hours. Not happening LOL. After doing some research I found I could fly out of London Stansted on a direct flight and the price was right. I bought the damn ticket immediately. Now I had to figure out how to get from Nairn (near Inverness) to Stansted. Enter the perfect plan (which included Outlander 😉). I had not visited Glasgow while in Scotland and it was one of the locations I wanted to check out. Soooo I ended up taking the train there spent the night and voila was able to take the tour!
